Natural Resources Wales is undertaking pre-tender market engagement to improve our understanding of Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) solutions with a view of undertaking a procurement exercise in 2019. A supplier day is being organised to explore the benefits of a Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) along with extended functionality to cover related areas. The scope of services run by Natural Resources Wales Analytical Services (NRWAS) is organic chemistry, inorganic chemistry, metals chemistry and microbiology. These disciplines support the NRW monitoring programme. We are seeking a system to provide for: — core LIMS, — commercial LIMS, — planning, scheduling and capacity planning, — sample collection, sample site information database, — sample registration and storage, — incident management, — materials management, — mobile LIMS, — integration with other systems.
