Tender description

This contract is for the collection and recycling of metals from Council Household Recycling Centres. The Council operates 3 Household Recycling Centres within its Council area, providing reuse, recycling and disposal services for a range of waste materials. The contract waste will comprise of mixed metals (ferrous and non-ferrous) which are segregated on-site for recycling. In addition to providing a collection and recycling service, the contractor will be required to provide suitable containers for the collection of the contract waste at each of the sites. Current container sizes range from 35-40 cu yd, however container sizes may vary in accordance with the needs and requirements of the Council. The Contractor will also be required to provide waste data on collected tonnes and end destinations for all collected waste. Tonnages for 2017/18 and part 2018/19 will be provided in the Tender documentation.
