Tender description

The aim of this service is to improve the emotional health and wellbeing of looked after children, adopted children, care leavers and young people who have been sexually abused in Derby City and contribute to an overall improvement in health outcomes, including work with carers to improve placement stability. In addition the service will provide therapeutic services including parenting training and intensive family interventions for adopted children who are the responsibility of Derby City Council, and for children and young people who have been sexually abused and may or may not be looked after. There will also be therapeutic work with young people who display harmful sexual behaviours. The aim of this service is to improve the emotional health and wellbeing of looked after children, adopted children, care leavers and young people who have been sexually abused in Derby City and contribute to an overall improvement in health outcomes, including work with carers to improve placement stability. In addition the service will provide therapeutic services including parenting training and intensive family interventions for adopted children who are the responsibility of Derby City Council, and for children and young people who have been sexually abused and may or may not be looked after. There will also be therapeutic work with young people who display harmful sexual behaviours. The service will provide: — information, advice and guidance, including providing assistance with regard to come children placed out of area, — consultations for staff and carers with a focus on Derby City Councils Children’s Homes, — specific psychological and other assessments, — specific interventions with children’s and carer,s — restorative practice, — training appropriate to carers’/workers’ needs to help them: —— identify early mental health difficulties in children with behavioural and mental health needs, in their own homes, school, or other appropriate setting, —— access consultation/support from CAMHS professional as necessary. The contract is expected to commence 1.4.2019 and end 31.3.2022, with two further annual extensions possible.
