Folding and Inserting Equipment and Postal Cabinet X-Ray System

Tender description

Derby City Council (DCC) is running a further competition exercise under the Crown Commercial Services Framework Provision of Postal Goods and/or Services RM1063. The Council is conducting the further competition using this invitation to tender. All Suppliers under Lot 5: Franking Machines and Mail Room Equipment (including associated services and consumables) can submit a bid. The Council's detailed requirements are defined in the Specification at Section 2 Derby City Council has procured a contract for an on-site hybrid mail solution as part of a separate procurement process. However, the current two (2) envelope folder inserters at the Council are coming to the end of their lease term. Derby City Council is also looking to outright purchase a Postal Cabinet X-Ray system to view any suspicious packages it receives. Although the tender is being established for use by Derby City Council, the Council and the equipment being procured will also be used for mail for the Council Arm's Length Management Organisations (ALMO), such as Derby Homes Ltd, associated Trusts and Derby City Partnerships, The contract period is for 60 months (5 years) and the contract estimated to commence on 01/08/2018 and expire on 31/07/2023.
