Tender description

Nemo Link is a HVDC submarine power cable under construction between Richborough Energy Park in Kent, the United Kingdom and Zeebrugge, Belgium. The project is a joint venture between National Grid (UK) and Elia (Belgium). The electrical interconnector will be the first between the two countries and capable of transmitting up to 1 000 MW at 400 kV i.e. an annual transmission capacity of 8,76 TWh. The cable is expected to be operational in 2019. Further information can be found at www.nemo-link.com The following contracting entities have decided to conduct a tender for the operational insurance of the Nemo Link Interconnector Project. Insurance will be required for operational/physical damage and business interruption. Operations are expected to commence in Q1/Q2 2019.
