Tender description

The BBC intends to relocate the BBC Symphony Orchestra, Chorus and Singers rehearsal and music studios and Rock and Pop studios to an alternative purpose built premises in East London. The BBC has decided that its Current Facility is unsatisfactory and that it now needs a new site. The BBC’s Corporate Real Estate team in association with Radio intends to relocate the Symphony Orchestra, BBC Singers, Chorus and Rock and Pop studio facilities to a new home on a new development site at the former Olympic park in Stratford East London. The facility will house 3 large commercial grade studios, Radio workshops, visualisation suits and associated ancillary space. The shell and core element of the development is being delivered by the London Legacy Development Corporation (LLDC). The Fit Out element is being delivered by the BBC.
