Rochdale, Stockport and Trafford Councils are committed to providing a high quality general advice and welfare advice services. These services will play an important role in maximising people’s independence and help prevent reliance and dependency on more intensive care and support. The service aims are to provide independent impartial advice that is efficient and effective in preventing and reducing the problems faced by citizens in relation to (but not limited to): • benefits • debt • employment • health & social care • housing • immigration A further description of the service aims, objectives and outcomes is detailed in the specification.
