Tender description

Devon County Council is coordinating the resettlement in Devon of refugee families from the Middle East and North Africa under the UK government's vulnerable persons resettlement scheme and vulnerable children's resettlement scheme. This support will include: — initial reception and integration casework support, — English language provision for adults (ESOL), — translation and interpreting, advice on access to services and entitlements, assessment and support for employability, — development of self-reliance and social capital and other support to meet needs identified over time. The term of support for each family is for 5 years from arrival, with per capita funding tapering over that term. Lot 1 Provision of Integration Casework in Wider Devon — this contract will be delivered by a single organisation or consortium which will deliver the Service across the administrative boundary of East Devon District Council, Exeter City Council, Mid Devon District Council, North Devon Council, South Hams District Council, Teignbridge District Council, Torridge District Council and West Devon Borough Council where Jobcentre and mainstream ESOL facilities are available within the council area or in Exeter. Lot 2 Provision of Integration Casework in Devon within Plymouth Job Centre Boundary — this contract will be delivered by a single organisation or consortium which will deliver the Service across the administrative boundary of South Hams and West Devon where the nearest accessible Jobcentre and mainstream ESOL facilities are in Plymouth. Lot 3 Provision of English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) in Wider Devon — this contract will be delivered by a single organisation or consortium which will deliver the Service across the administrative boundary of East Devon District Council, Exeter City Council, Mid Devon District Council, North Devon Council, South Hams District Council, Teignbridge District Council, Torridge District Council and West Devon Borough Council where Jobcentre and mainstream ESOL facilities are available within the council area or in Exeter.
