Refurbishment of Annexe to Bassetlaw Museum, Retford

Tender description

Bassetlaw District Council is looking to employ a building contractor to execute repairs to the former Tourist Information Centre located at Grove Street, Retford. Repairs to the existing building are to be completed to a stage where it is a 'blank canvas' in preparation for Gallery fit out. Nottingham City Council is leading on this procurement exercise on behalf of Bassetlaw District Council, who are the Contracting Authority; and will be the Employer for purposes of entering into the contract with the appointed Contractor. Bassetlaw District Council has employed the services of Henry Taylor Chartered Building Surveyors to act as Employer's Agent, and they will undertake the role of Contract Administrator to oversee these repairs. The Employer's Agent produced the drawings necessary to obtain planning permission and building control conditions. Employer's Agent has also worked closed with Gallery designer to produce a Time Schedule from Contractor appointment through to Gallery Fit Out, which will enable Gallery to open on schedule in May 2019. The Employer's Agent has produced the JCT Minor Works Contract, which contains all specifications for the Contractor information.
