The Council would like to grant a concession contract to a Provider who will take over the management of the Normanby Hall Golf Club and who will invest to improve the quality of the facility and increase participation in golf. In particular the aims are to: — improve the overall quality of the facility, — increase membership and usage of the facility, — attract new user groups to the facility including increased participation from children, young people, women and minority groups, — increase the offers available to both course members and the general public by working in partnership with Normanby Hall Country Park, — ensure long term sustainability of the facility through investment. Normanby Hall Golf Club is owned and currently run by the Council. The Council leases the land from the Normanby Estate and has consent from the landowner to award this concession contract. The Facility opened to the public in 1978 and is highly regarded for its unique design and testing eighteen hole, par 72 course. It adjoins Normanby Hall Country Park and is set in 117 acres of established wood and parkland. The course combines a club membership with pay and play opportunities. The practice facilities are provided adjacent to the course. Principal facilities include: — 18 hole par 72 golf course, — driving range, — practice putting green, — practice net, — clubhouse changing room and toilets, — clubhouse bar, lounge, restaurant/function room and 19th hole club room, — golf professional’s shop and office.
