Tender description

This tender for the procurement of a Contractor or Contractors who has a facility to re-use/recycle/compost materials collected from Gwynedd Councils Street Sweepings operations, with the following waste code 20 03 03 (street cleaning residues). This is a waste code for non-hazardous waste. The provision of a permitted facility, receive, and process for re-use/recycling/composting, quantities of materials gained from The client’s street sweepings activities. The Contractor shall provide adequate facilities to receive and reuse/recycle/recover street sweepings materials for a projected tonnage of 4 000 tons annually. In practice, the quantity of waste to be processed may vary and therefore increase or decrease from such quantities over the Contract Period. The client or client agent is seeking a Contractor that is able to reuse/recycle/compost, quantities of street sweepings, in accordance with National Indicator WMT009b. The Contractor must provide evidence that any end product meets “End of Waste” Criteria and any relevant quality protocol to enable the client or client agent to include these tonnages in their reuse/recycling/composting rate.
