Tender description
The Participation Support Service works across North Yorkshire to support people with a learning disability to speak up on issues affecting themselves and other people with a learning disability, and contributes to finding solutions. This activity is generally known as self-advocacy. Working closely with North Yorkshire County Council, the service will support self-advocates to lead and contribute to the work of the North Yorkshire Learning Disability Partnership Board. A key focus for the work of the Board is the delivery of the ‘Live Well, Live Longer Learning Disability Strategy for North Yorkshire 2017 – 2022.
