N2 Pavement Schemes Site (1) Monaghan Town By-Pass, Monaghan Town and Site (2) at Tullyvaragh Lower to Creevy located north of Carrickmacross, Co. Monaghan

Tender description

The proposed works will involve pavement renewal works on N2 national primary road at two sites; (1) Monaghan By-Pass at Monaghan Town and (2) Tullyvaragh Lower to Creevy located north of Carrickmacross, Co. Monaghan. The works at Monaghan By-Pass involves 3.0km of pavement inlay works on the N2 By-Pass and N12, including three roundabouts; Corlat (Dublin Road) Roundabout, Annahagh Roundabout and Coolshanagh Roundabout. The pavement works involves the planing-off and replacement of the surface course on the by-pass with deeper inlays required on the Dublin Road Roundabout approach section also involving base and subbase replacement. The works also includes the excavation and replacement of filter drain material for all the existing filter drains along the scheme. The works at Tullyvaragh Lower to Creevy involves 4.2km of pavement inlay works, which involves the planing-off of the existing pavement surface course and placing a new surface course. The works also includes the excavation and replacement of filter drain material for all existing filter drains along the scheme. The works at both sites includes the re-linemarking and installation of studs for the full length of the new pavement surface. Both schemes will involve traffic management to facilitate the works.
