Introduction – Highcliffe Castle was rendered derelict in the 1960’s by fire and abandonment. Whilst externally restored in the 1990’s with assistance and funding from the Heritage Lottery Fund there is an ongoing phased approach to the continued repair and conservation of the interior. The project focuses on the repair of the East Wing. This is important as it will give access to more of the heritage, including the servant’s areas and original kitchen. As part of the works an exhibition scheme throughout the redeveloped castle has been created by a design and interpretation specialist. Christchurch Borough Council are now tendering for a supplier to build, deliver and install an Audio Visual (AV) scheme at Highcliffe Castle. 2. Scope – The successful supplier will be required to supply, deliver and install the AV scheme between 11th March 2019 and 22nd March 2019. 3. Requirement – Highcilffe Castle have been working with a design and interpretation consultancy over a number of months to develop a range of exhibition displays that bring to life the castle’s history for visitors. These exhibition displays are distributed throughout the various rooms of the castle, creating an engaging and interactive visitor experience. We are now looking for an AV contractor with experience of working in listed buildings, museums and heritage attractions to supply, deliver and install the AV scheme to the specifications supplied by the design and interpretation consultancy.
