Tender description

The Council is seeking to provide a range of services that will support the delivery of an integrated Mental Health Recovery Pathway (“the Pathway”) for Islington residents with enduring mental illness. The Pathway will provide support to appropriately meet differing levels of need, supporting Islington residents to maintain or prevent further deterioration in their mental health (which in turn would lead to either hospital admission or other secondary care intervention), and provide the necessary support to enable a recovery from a mental illness and develop greater self-management of their health. The new pathway represents a move further towards more individualised and personalised support and a flexibility of service delivery as part of Islington Council's strategy to embed our strength based approach and to make our services more accessible, responsive and flexible. The services described will encourage involvement with the local community, promoting independence, maximising social inclusion and reducing stigma. This is in line with Islington Council’s vision to support residents to engage with and benefit from the resources and assets within their locality and beyond. Services within the pathway will include: — open access day opportunities, — out-of-hours recovery service, — psycho-social support and key working, — reablement service. The maximum available budget for this contract is 5 412 500 GBP over the maximum 60 months’ term of the contract. This is based on an annual budget of 1 082 500 GBP.
