The London Borough of Bexley (LBB) invite service providers, social investors and other sector experts to the second market engagement event, which will inform the development of a social impact bond (SIB) to improve the life chances for single homeless adults living in temporary accommodation. The London Borough of Bexley invites service providers, social investors and other sector experts to a market engagement event which will inform the development of a Social Impact Bond (SIB) to improve the life chances for single homeless adults living in temporary accommodation. The LBB faces an acute housing crisis, with the flow of people accepted as homeless and in priority need rising more quickly than the provision of social and/or affordable PRS housing. There are currently around 350 single homeless people in temporary accommodation. On average this cohort remain in temporary accommodation for approximately 2,5 years with no supported accommodation available prior to securing permanent housing. The service is due to be delivered between 2019-2024. The service will be evaluated against improvements in outcomes across housing, employment, health and wellbeing. The total contract will be valued of 1 400 000 GBP, 380 000 GBP of which will be contributed by the Big Lottery’s Life Chances Fund.
