Demolition of disused buildings to the east of Brown's Lane in Waterford City

Tender description

The contract involves the demolition and removal from site (to suitably licensed facilities) all the materials generated from the following: 1. 2 x single story former garages/storage facilities with a combined floor area of 180m2 and maximum height of 7m, comprising of block work walls, corrugated steel sheeting roofs supported on steel/timber trusses. 2. 1 x disused industrial building (former WIT arts building) with an overall floor area of 1800m2 and height of circa 8.0m. The building is a combination of steel stanchions/columns with block work external and internal walls, internal stud partition walls, suspended timber floors and a roof comprising of a combination of corrugated steel sheeting and asbestos sheeting supported on steel trusses. As outlined in the pricing document, a site visit is a pre-requisite of each contractor who intends to submit a tender. To facilitate this requirement, the site will be available for viewing under supervision and accompaniment by WCCC from 10am to 1pm on Thursday and Friday May 3rd and May 4th next. Tenderers should also note that electronic submission of their Tender is the only option available to them.
