Tender description

The UK MOD intends to award Mercury Computer Systems Ltd a contract for the purchase of an appropriate Open Architecture Hardware Platform. The contract will be for a maximum duration of 24 months and for an estimated value of 1 000 000 GBP and 2 500 000 GBP. Justification for non-competitive decision: for reasons of integration and interoperability with previous systems built on Mercury hardware, a single-source contract is deemed the lowest risk and most viable option. It is considered that this contract can be awarded using the Negotiated Procedure without prior publication of a Contract Notice pursuant to Article 28 (1) (e) of the Directive 2009/81/EC (Regulation 16 (1)(a)(ii) of the UK Defence and Security Public Contracts Regulations 2011) for technical reasons.
