Tender description

I. Design and Build Central Food Production Facility (CPU) and Pantry Kitchens for Galway University Hospital and Merlin Park Hospital. II. Provision of catering services for Galway University Hospital and Merlin Park Hospital, to include delivery and despatch facilities. Please note that this is not a competition and we are not seeking tenders at this stage. It is purely an information exercise seeking views of market operators on possible approaches that may be taken in a tender process which may be undertaken over the coming months. Requirement: I. Design and Build Central Food Production Facility (CPU) and Pantry Kitchens for Galway University Hospital and Merlin Park Hospital. II. Provision of catering services for Galway University Hospital and Merlin Park Hospital, to include delivery and despatch facilities. The HSE intends to run a competitive procurement process and the successful Tenderer will develop the design, build/fit out and commission a central production unit kitchen (CPU Kitchen) with regeneration facilities to support both University Hospital Galway (UHG) and Merlin Park University Hospital (MPUH). It is envisaged that the successful tenderer will fund the initial development and fit out of the CPU Kitchen, and will recover the cost through the provision of catering services to both the UHG and MPUH sites for the following customer groups: — patient, — staff, — general public/visitors.
