Tender description

Associated British Ports (ABP) is inviting Main Contractors to tender for works comprising the design and construction of a new training and administration facility (HMS Cambria) for the Royal Navy Reserves (RNR), Royal Marine Reserves (RMP), and University Royal Navy Unit (URN). The HMS Cambria project is part of the Navy Command Future Reserves 20 programmes (FR20). The need for the project is to provide new permanent facilities for a modern Maritime Reserves unit in South Wales supporting the FR20 programme’s objectives and have the capacity for growth in the personnel numbers. The construction value of the project is approximately 7.8m GBP excl VAT and comprises the demolition of existing accommodation and site preparation works, along with the new build construction of all substructure, superstructure, internal finishes and fit out, mechanical and electrical installation works, internal roads, car parking, hard and soft landscaping and external services works. The building contract will be procured by competitive tender via a single stage design and build procurement process, using the NEC3 Option A (Priced Contract with Activity Schedule) Form of Contract.
