Tender for the Provision of an Integrated Carers Support Service

Tender description

This is a notice for social and specific services in accordance with Directive 2014/24/EU Article 74’ Buckinghamshire County Council and the Buckinghamshire Clinical Commissioning Group wish to commission an all age integrated carers support service. The Carers’ Support Service will compliment and reflect the wider health and wellbeing agenda of promoting a strengths based approach, which focuses on building resilience and wellbeing to create stronger communities. The service will need to work flexibly to provide a range of services across Buckinghamshire in order to meet the differing needs of carers aged from 5 years plus. The service required is to cover carers of all ages and potential providers will need to be aware that there are different needs amongst carers which will require the provider to have specialist knowledge and skills. The successful provider will be expected to work in partnership with health, social care services and the voluntary and community sector to provide a holistic approach to supporting carers within Buckinghamshire. The contract start date is 1st April 2019. The contract term is 3 years with the option to extend for 2 years, subject to availability of funding and performance. The budget for this service is £821,161 per annum. Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment) Regulations 2006 (TUPE) may apply to this contract.
