This contract will address several requirements in relation to the sustainable management of marine natural resources in Welsh waters. This contract will address several requirements in relation to the sustainable management of marine natural resources in Welsh waters. The successful bidder will: Develop and interpret the environmental evidence base associated with tidal stream energy, wave energy and aquaculture resources in the Welsh marine planning area, in particular to assess the potential impacts of developments on Marine Protected Areas. Develop a data collection programme and collect environmental data to address some key evidence gaps in relation to potential resource use by the tidal stream energy, wave energy and aquaculture sectors. Analyse and interpret existing datasets to identify development constraints and opportunities, including opportunities for co-existence of different sectors. Provide recommendations and guidance to facilitate planning, feasibility study, site selection, application and consenting processes. Produce evidence packages associated with each resource area that include data, reports, maps, constraints analysis, and guidance.
