Provision of Interim Employment Positions for Prisoners at HMP Berwyn

Tender description

The contract is with the Ministry of Justice operating through the HM Prison and Probation Service (HMPPS). The services required are for an interim solution for the management, sourcing and delivery of 100 employment positions as part of the providers own economic operations for prisoners inside HMP Berwyn in North Wales. The successful provider will provide commercially operated workshops similar to working conditions outside of the custodial environment in which prisoners will obtain employability skills. The contract is for a 5 month term. This contract concerns services which are classified as "social and other specific services" listed in Annex XIV of Directive 2014/24/EU and Schedule 3 of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 (the Regulations). Section 7 of the Regulations applies so the Light Touch regime, applies to this procurement. As this procurement falls under the Light Touch regime threshold, The Authority has managing this procurement as a Single Tender Award.
