Tender description

This framework seeks to establish a multi-supplier framework of suitable suppliers under the following lots or categories: — Lot 1: personal/professional skills development, — Lot 2: management and leadership development Levels 1 and 2, — Lot 3: management and leadership development Levels 3 and 4. The scope of this framework solely relates to central organisational development budgeted learning and development. Lot 1: Personal/Professional Skills Development — appropriate for the full range of staff categories and grades in the University Individuals or organisations must be able to provide skills training to promote the following indicative capabilities. Examples of topics which may appear in this category are listed below. This list is not exhaustive: — interpersonal and professional skills, — communicating effectively, — presenting with impact, — time management/managing your workload/working smarter, — creativity and innovative thinking in your work, — responding to change, — negotiation and influencing, — mentoring and coaching skills, — effective project working, — professional business writing, — dealing with difficult people/situations/conflict, — effective team working administration skills, — minute taking, — PA skills, — customer service. The framework will provide a range of training suppliers for the following management levels. Level 1: New Manager — to build and develop core people management skills and practice. Target group: new line managers, those supervising and planning the work of others for the first time, existing line managers at this level with no formal management training. e.g. Supervisors, Team Leaders, Senior clerical staff. Level 2: New Leader — to develop initial leadership capability. Target group: those moving from a supervisory/management role to a role with increased leadership responsibility. e.g. mid-level managers, senior administrators (in professional support departments) senior technicians, new Principle Investigators (research roles), research team leaders etc. The framework will provide a range of training suppliers for the following management levels. Level 3: Established Leader — to support staff to carry out current leadership roles and prepare for more senior roles. Target group: those staff with formal leadership responsibilities covering a significant work area which has University-wide impact. e.g. head of function (professional services), school manager, director education/research or similar. Level 4: Senior Leader — to build resilience at senior level. To further develop the influencing, negotiating and collaborative skills in addressing institutional challenges. To develop abilities to lead and manage organisational and cultural change at senior strategic level. Target Group: Members of the senior management team or who are imminently expecting to move into such a role. e.g. Director, Head of School Role or similar.
