Gloucestershire Live-in Support Contract Framework (Adults with Disabilities)

Tender description

The purpose of this tendering exercise is to procure provision of live-in support. The support will be delivered to individuals with disabilities with the aim of increasing their independence, coping mechanisms and life skills. The Service Specification describes support that is delivered to an individual on a “one-to-one” (1:1) basis. This will include support at night via a sleeping or waking night and includes the provision of personal care as defined by the Care Quality Commission. An alternative to full-time residential care, live-in support allows people to receive the levels of support they require whilst remaining in their own homes. Live-in support is built entirely around the individual and their routines and lifestyle to include meals, eating times and established medication and care routines. Live in carers develop relationships with individuals and their families, offering companionship alongside support, placing the person at the centre and in control of achieving what they want from life. If an individuals needs change, the live-in support has the flexibility to evolve to continue to meet outcomes. Live-in support offers the consistency that is essential to good support.
