CT scanners

Tender description

A CT mobile scanner is required to assist with winter pressures for a period of 6 months from middle October 2018, with the option of extending for a further 6 months. The scanner will be facilitating a wide range of CT out-patient oncology, MSK, GI, Urology and respiratory scans so will need to be a high spec CT scanner. The scanning will be working 8:00 am — 8:00 pm 7 days a week so needs to be able to sustain a high throughput. The scanner must also be fitted with a contrast media pump injector. It is essential that the scanner is able to connect to the Trusts PACS/RIS systems. The scanner will be staffed by PHT staff who are currently used to working with Siemens and Canon CT scanners. Due to the high demand for CT scanning, the existing staffs need to be able to work on this scanner with minimal training. In addition a “portacabin” style waiting room/cannulation room is required to sit alongside the scanner.
