ALVER VALLEY COUNTRY PARK-WESTERN GATEWAY – New South Carpark and refurbishment of North Carpark

Gosport Borough Council wishes to construct a new car park to the Western Gateway to the Alver Valley from Cherque Way and refurbish the existing carpark adjacent to the new play grounds serving Alver Valley West. The works will include (but not limited to) the provision of: • Removal and reinstallation of the barriers protecting the car park and the access to Sandhill Lane.; • The construction of varied roadway access works to suit the new carpark configuration; • The Construction of a new 47 space carpark with GrassCrete paving former and a tarmacadam circulation roadway, including a clad concrete retaining wall to the north west corner; • The resurfacing of the existing 45 space carpark to mirror the new south carpark; • The construction of swales and mounds to suit the land drainage requirements do drain toward the Alver Valley; • The installation of furniture, ticket machines, trip rail fencing to the perimeter • Associated repairs arising from the installation works to the access road The main car park works will be to a standard JCT intermediate works form of contract and will be undertaken in 3 phases. The project may also include a 4th phase working with the Council to finalise design of the provision of a base for a new CCTV mast and ductwork to suite through to delivery and completed the specialist installation on a design and construct basis.
