Tender description

There is a commitment in the Tobacco Control Delivery Plan for Wales 2017-2020 to implement a fully integrated model for NHS stop smoking services. A core component of this model is a single client management system for all help me quit service providers. Currently service providers use a number different IT systems (e.g. Quit Manager, QM10, national electronic claim and audit forms system) to receive referrals, capture client data, schedule appointments and produce data extracts for reporting. The aim of this Prior Information Notice is to support the development a tender specification and ultimately commission a contractor to develop a client management system for all help me quit service providers. The project will be delivered in 2 phases which are summarised below. — phase 1: tender specification to be co-produced with representatives from each of the HMQ service providers including the HMQ contact centre, — phase 2: commission contractor to develop client management system following NHS Wales procurement processes, — phases 3 and 4: the development and implementation of the client management system will be subject to a separate project plan.
