Renovation Works to 1-12 Beaumaris House and 7-21 Paddock Rise

Bron Afon is seeking a suitably skilled, experienced and qualified organisation to deliver renovation works including roofing, replacement windows and external building fabric repairs to two (2) blocks of flats (1-12 Beaumaris House and 7-21 Paddock Rise. 1-12 Beaumaris House and 7-21 Paddock Rise were constructed in the late 1950’s and early 1960’s. There has been no major improvement works previously undertaken to these blocks, although both blocks have had new security entrance doors and access control systems fitted recently. The existing roofs are now starting to fail and in some instances this has resulted in water penetration into some of the properties and communal areas, particularly on the top floors of the buildings. Some of the windows in Beaumaris House are generally failing and in a poor condition with seals missing, condensation forming between the panes of double glazed units and general damage to the frames. Rendering and brickwork to certain areas of the blocks are in need of general repair work and is deemed necessary to prevent damp and the water ingress into the building.
