Tender description

Kent Community Health Foundation Trust (KCHFT) is commissioned to provide a Children’s Integrated Therapy and Equipment services to the community in East Sussex. The main components of the Service include, but are not limited to: — procuring where agreed, storing, delivering and the setting-up (to include specialist set-up by supplier representatives) of specific items of prescribed equipment (utilising recycled equipment where appropriate), — administering, overseeing and quality checking any minor modifications and/or adaptations undertaken by sub-contractors, — maintaining an appropriate inventory system capable of real-time tracking of equipment, — establishing close working links with Clinicians and Prescribers in CITES and other community teams and health care establishments, — producing monthly management reports and keeping of all records. Kent Community Health Foundation Trust (KCHFT) is commissioned to provide a children’s integrated therapy and equipment services to the community in East Sussex. The vision for this contract is; “A combined single service that provides children’s therapy and equipment and includes all professional therapies; speech and language, occupational therapy and physiotherapy. Its success is through removing inefficiencies and duplication, promoting equality of access according to need, improving quality standards and increasing value for money that results in improving the outcomes for children and young people.” This contraction will be for the initial term of 2 year with possible extension of 3 years (in tranches of 12 months and the last year may be within tranches of 6 months depending on commissioning requirements of the clinical service) contract will work alongside KCHFT and provide equipment on loan to disabled children and young people living in East Sussex. The annual value of this contract will be no greater than 150 000 GBP for full delivery of the service (including parts for repair and maintenance). The equipment service will be required to deliver, collect, decontaminate and repair the equipment. Where appropriate the supplier will also be responsible for carrying out minor adaptations to the home.
