Galway City Council is seeking expressions of interest from interested parties in entering into a lease agreement for the exclusive right to use the former composting facility (now decommissioned) at the Carrowbrowne Landfill site. This briefing document and the accompanying Pre-qualification Questionnaire (PQQ) are being made available to interested parties so that they can register an expression of interest in entering into a proposed 5-year lease, with the option to extend by a further 5 years, of the former Carrowbrowne composting facility and the permitted civic amenity facility, owned by Galway City Council at the Carrowbrowne Landfill facility, County Galway. Interested parties should note that this is a non-mandatory notice. For the avoidance of doubt, this selection process is not a procurement process. Accordingly, it is not governed by the provisions of Directive 2014/24/EC or Directive 2014/25/EC (or the Irish Regulations transposing those Directives). And Galway City Council does not intend to follow the procedures or rules set out in those Directives/Regulations in this selection process.
