Summary of the work The specialist will be part of a team supporting the on-going development of our case management tool, which is based on Microsoft Dynamics. Specialist role Developer Expected Contract Length six months Latest start date Monday 12 November 2018 Maximum Day Rate £650 per day Who Speclialist Work With The specialist will work in an agile scrum team with interaction around the business with project managers, business representatives and members of the IT team. What Specialists Work On The specialist will be part of a team supporting the on-going development of our case management tool, which is based on Microsoft Dynamics. Skills & Experience • Experience of developing Microsoft Dynamics, preferably 365 (CRM 2016 also acceptable) – to include customisation, workflows and plug-ins • Experience of development in C# • Experience of development in JavaScript and HTML Nice to Haves • Experience with integrating CRM and other applications, preferably using NServiceBus • Experience with Microsoft Portals • Experience of internet-facing interfaces Work Location Financial Ombudsman Service, Exchange Tower, London E14 9SR Working Arrangments The specialist will work as part of an agile scrum team and will need to be on site daily for scrum meetings. Is this role inside or outside IR35? The role is outside of IR35. 2. Is there an incumbent in this role? There isn’t an incumbent. 3. The start date for this role is 12/12/2018. Will the successful consultant be able to start earlier? It’s possible that’s the earliest the specialists will begin. We’re starting specialists in two tranches. We want one Analyst, three Developers and one Tester to start as soon as possible. Then in the following two to three weeks we want to integrate the remainder of the specialists: one Architect, one Analyst, three Developers, one Tester and two Operations Engineers 4. Would you be able to security clear the specialist? We expect the supplier to perform all the required security checks. 5. How soon will feedback be provided? We’ll aim to let suppliers know whether they’ve been shortlisted by 08/11/2018. 6. Will there be interview stages? We included interviews in the original list of assessment methods. However time limitations mean we’ll now be awarding based on work histories alone. 7. What is the soonest possible start date? The specialist roles advertised as beginning 12/11/2018 will start as soon as possible. The other specialists will be integrated over the course of the following four weeks with the last starting possibly as late as 12/12/2018. 8. There seem to be a number of similar requirements. Are they duplicates or just different start dates? They are different start dates. We’re looking for 13 specialists in total. 9. Please can you clarify the Security Clearance? It states Disclosure Scotland – does this mean basic clearance in this instance? Yes, the requirement is basic security clearance. 10. There are several Dynamics positions open and we are interested in applying for all of them. We have previously delivered a team to implement a Dynamics CRM development project. Shall we apply for each of these positions with a named individual or can we apply with a generic resource? Please apply with a named individual for each advertised specialist. 11. How much remote working is there? Remote working is possible on a partial basis and will be considered upon request for each role. We’re an office based organisation and as such, the majority of the activity will need to be based at our office. 12. Is this role predominantly a Manual Testing role or Automation Testing role? What’s the percentage split? This would depend on the skillset for the specialists. We are looking for two testing specialists and would require at least one to have automation knowledge (at least 50% of time). 13. Is there a possibility of extension beyond 6 months original contract? Yes it’s possible the contract will extend past the initial six months. 14. Is there a requirement for x2 Dynamics Operations Engineers? Yes, there a requirement for x2 Dynamics Operations Engineers. 15. Will "Nice-to-have skills and experience" used for evaluation in first round of supplier selection (3 specialist shortlisted) or is it for later stage i.e. presentation/interview? Nice to have skills will be considered at the first stage. 16. What is the weightage of nice-to-have skills compared to essential-skills? These are not individually weighted. We’ll look at the technical skills holistically. 17. Please can you expand on what you mean by Internet-facing interfaces? Is this API's or Internet Facing Deployment (IFD) for Dynamics? This refers to both APIs and an amount of portal knowledge – preferably ADX Studio or Microsoft Portals 18. Is it possible to get some detail about – Experience of internet-facing interfaces?
