Tender description

Provision of an effective toxicology testing service that shall support the relevant HM Senior Coroner's compliance with the Coroners and Justice Act 2009, and the named borough’s continual commitment to the bereaved families of Greater Manchester. The services required under this framework agreement will be for the provision of: — Standard Drug Test (SDT) (as set out in Annex A), — Alcohol Only Testing, — SDT and Alcohol Testing, — Quantitative Analysis of Drugs Detected. On samples collected from the above mortuaries. In addition to the tests listed above, the supplier shall undertake special analytical tests on the samples to test for substances not covered by the tests above as requested by the relevant senior coroner or coroner officer from time to time. The supplier shall be responsible for arranging the courier of samples from the public mortuary/hospital to the supplier’s premises. Where requested by the next of kin, the supplier shall be responsible for the return courier of samples to the Public Mortuary. The supplier is responsible for the disposal of samples where return courier is not required.
