Tender description

This tender is for the supply and delivery and installation and commissioning of one or 2 automated radiochemistry synthesis platforms. The radiochemistry platforms sought, will support ongoing Neuroscience research by facilitating GMP production of markers of abnormal protein aggregation (e.g. amyloid, tau, and alpha synuclein) in order to study in vivo, the pathology of Dementias (Lewy body, Parkinson's Disease, Alzheimer’s Disease) and provide proof of mechanism of interventions designed to reverse or remove abnormal oligomers and fibrils — immunotherapy, secretase blockers, anti-aggregants, etc. The tendered platforms will also provide workhorse imaging biomarkers to detect tumours and monitor their function. It is expected that the platforms would allow access to radiopharmaceuticals such as: — FDG (metastases and tumour recurrence), — FMISO (tumour hypoxia), — FET and FDOPA (aminoacid transport), — FLT (nucleic acid turnover), — fluorinated peptides (angiogenesis) and — fluorinated carboxylates (ketoacid metabolism), as well as novel agents generated by collaborative research with other institutions.This tender is for the supply and delivery and installation and commissioning of one or 2 automated radiochemistry synthesis platforms.
