Tender description

The Guinness Partnership is a register ed social landlord that manages around 65 000 homes nationwide. We will be carrying out a tender to establish a framework of suppliers to provide grounds maintenance services to our estates. The framework will cover several of our major areas of operation. It will apply to approximately 7,00 schemes across the country, with an initial call-off requirement of approx. 480 schemes. The tender specification will set out in detail the required activities, expected outcomes and the frequencies of the services. Activities will be primarily focussed on standard grounds maintenance services (litter-picking, grass cutting, tree and shrub maintenance, etc.), with some responsive services required; particularly removal of bulk waste on those estates. It is anticipated that we will issue the contract notice in early December, with the closing deadline being in mid-January. This process will utilise the restricted procedure. Greater Manchester area is split into 2. This lot covers estates in Central Manchester, Oldham, Bury and Rochdale. Initial call-off approx. 55 schemes; total schemes covered circa 125. Greater Manchester area is split into 2. This lot covers estates in Salford, Stockport and Tameside. Initial call-off approx. 50 schemes; total schemes covered circa 90. Guinness' housing estates in the North-West, excluding Greater Manchester. This lot covers schemes primarily in Crewe, along with properties in the Wirral, Lancashire and Cumbria. Initial call-off 95 schemes; total coverage approx. 130 schemes. Guinness estates primarily in Sheffield, Rotherham and surrounding areas. Initial call-off of circa 60 schemes; total coverage approx. 80 schemes. Guinness estates in West Yorkshire, including: — Barnsley, — Doncaster, — Wakefield and — Leeds. Initial call-off of circa 65 schemes; total coverage of approx. 90 schemes. Guinness estates in Derbyshire and High Peak areas including: — Bolsover, — Chesterfield, — Derbyshire Dales, — High Peak, — Amber Valley, etc. Initial call-off of circa 75 schemes; total schemes covered approx. 90. Guinness estates in Bristol, Bath, South Gloucestershire, Mendip, Wiltshire and Swindon. Initial call-off of circa 90 schemes; total schemes covered approx. 105.
