Who Speclialist Work With • Working within PPPT reporting to the Programmes Lead Architect on design. • Will need to engage with members of the Law Enforcement Data Service (LEDS) Architecture Team, the existing Police Live Services team and with the programme’s Delivery Partners as necessary. • To deliver some of the design work, external stakeholder engagement should be expected. What Specialists Work On The DevOps resource will document the existing legacy architecture and assist in transition to the new cloud architecture in line with PPPT Architectural Principles. Where the Work Takes Place • Primary location: Croydon. • Other London sites. Hendon Datacentre /2 Marsham Street. Early Market Engagement Working Arrangements Some remote working is acceptable, supported by a Home Office laptop to enable collaboration and sensitive material to be exchanged. Some meetings can be by conference call, but significant design meetings are expected to be face-to-face at a Home Office location or partner visit. Existing Subject Matter Experts located in Croydon or Hendon will provide most of the information on the architectures and requirements. Work Location • Primary location: Croydon. • Other London sites. Hendon Datacentre /2 Marsham Street. Security Clearance SC or ability to be SC cleared. Additional T&Cs T&S will not be payable for travel to sites within the M25. Travel outside of the M25 will be subject to HO T&S policy. Skills & Experience Demonstrable expert knowledge of Commodity Cloud DevOps Functions within the past 2 years. Demonstrable experience in Weblogic Server 10.x. Demonstrable experience in Weblogic Workshop 8.x. Demonstrable expert knowledge of Redhat Linux 5-7 within the past 2 years. Demonstrable knowledge of Oracle Service Bus within the past 2 years. Nice to Haves Knowledge of JBoss Fuse. Knowledge of Oracle 10 databases. Knowledge of Police IT Systems. Knowledge of VMWare. Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes and Ansible. No. of Specialists to Evaluate 3 Cultural Fit Criteria Seek constructive outcomes in discussions. Actively involve colleagues and partners to deliver an outcome. Challenge assumptions but remain willing to compromise when it is beneficial to progress. Make recommendations for decisions and options. Personal management of time within a team to best deliver the scope of work.
