GB-Chelmsford: 0599 - Energy Switching Partner for the 'Essex Energy Switch'

Tender description

The Authority are seeking a successful Contractor who will deliver our Energy Switch strategy by developing, promoting and operating a high-quality service on behalf of Essex County Council ("the Authority") that enables the residents and commercial businesses (via a bureau service) of Essex to: 1.Switch gas and/or electricity providers and, 2.Reduce energy costs based on their individual circumstances and, 3.Support the Authority in its aim to reduce fuel poverty within the County of Essex. The Contractor shall be responsible for all costs and project management required to deliver the services within this Contract. The Authority will not be responsible for any costs incurred by the Contractor and the services will be paid for by the Contractors proportion of the switching fee it receives from the energy supplier.The Authority is seeking a rebate from the Contractor for each switch completed and the Contractor. The Authority requires the Contractor to run a single switching event in spring 2019. Further events will be at the Authority's sole discretion, however, the Contractor should be able to provide up to a maximum of 4 events per Contract Year. The parties shall work together to agree a forward plan of switching events and the Authority shall give no less than 2 months' notice for an event to take place. The Agreement term for this agreement with be 3 year(s) with an option to extend for a period of up to 24 month(s). The decision to extend the Agreement with is at the sole discretion of Essex County Council.
