This PIN is to notify the market of potential opportunities for the provision of ENT Audiology Services for Homerton University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust (the “Trust”). The Trust is seeking to understand market capacity and capability to deliver ENT Audiology Services, providing diagnostic investigations of hearing for both adults and children where highly accurate results are vital. Typical scope of services is outlined in the description below. This PIN does not formally signify the beginning of any procurement and does not constitute a commitment by the Trust to undertake any procurement exercise. In the event that the Trust decides to formally commence procurement pursuant to this PIN a separate Contract Notice will be issued. If a Contract Notice is published the Trust may rely on the publication of the PIN to utilise the minimum time frames permissible under the Regulations. Homerton University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is a high performing and flourishing organisation serving the population of Hackney, East London. The Trust is proud that the CQC has recently rated Homerton Hospital’s A&E department as “Outstanding”, medical care at the hospital as “Outstanding”, with acute services rated overall as “Good”. The Trust provides comprehensive hospital and community health services for its local population and a range of specialist services for a wider group of patients. These specialist services include obstetrics, neonatology, foetal medicine, fertility, neuro-rehabilitation, bariatric surgery, and asthma and allergy services. The main community served by the Trust is highly diverse with a complex mix of clinical and cultural needs. The Trust also has a proud tradition of supporting and developing its staff, including its well-regarded and valued nursing community, and all staff are able to take advantage of a great range of benefits. The Trust is proud to have been included on the HSJ and Nursing Times Best Places to Work list and has recently achieved 'Excellence' status in the Healthy Workplace Charter, as awarded by the Greater London Authority. The Trust’s ENT Department currently sees around 4 400 patients a year, with a large proportion of those patients requiring audiological investigations as part of their treatment through the Audiology Service. The Trust is seeking market input to understand market capacity and capability to deliver ENT Audiology Services in preparation for a possible future competitive tender for Audiology Services. The scope of services forming part of the PIN include, but are not be limited to: diagnostic testing such as Pure Tone Audiograms and Tympanograms; plus support services such as working with patients to fit and verify hearing aid prescriptions, create individualised audiology treatment plans; provide ongoing care, advice and support. Suppliers are requested to register their interest in this market engagement, via the portal and provide the Trust with the following supplier information: — supplier experience in the provision of ENT and audiology services, — current capability and capacity to deliver, — reason for interest in the opportunity.
