Tender description

The purpose of this notice is to inform potential suppliers of a market engagement day hosted by the Business Skills College (BSC) of the Defence Academy (DA) on Thu 22.11.2018. The Business Skills College is interested in seeking potential suppliers’ views on the provision of a new academic capability and how this might best be met. The market engagement day will provide potential suppliers with background and detail behind the requirement and give them the opportunity to ask questions, network and engage with other potential suppliers and supporting services as well as to further inform the authority’s thinking. The Business Skills College is part of the Defence Academy and provides business acumen training and education for military and civil service staff across Defence. It also provides interventions suited to our wider Industry partners and other Government Departments. BSC is looking for an organisation capable of designing, delivering and accrediting educational interventions, to work collaboratively with the DA to provide an educational capability in support of its outputs. Specifically it will see a range of these as post-graduate level interventions leading to PG Cert, PG Dip, and MSc/MBA awards. Key to this will be innovative and blended learning solutions with flexible exit points, across the range of specified business acumen disciplines that cover complex procurement through the lenses of commercial, financial, project delivery (including project, programme, portfolio, risk and benefits), through life logistic support, and technical aspects such as Systems safety, quality assurance, and environmental. It may also include the requirement for delivery of strategic leadership courses to international audiences and development and delivery of outputs to meet the emerging and future needs of Defence from the wider Defence Education Pathway work being undertaken.
