Tender description
The Fenland and East Cambridgeshire Opportunity Area is inviting providers to provide a Foundation Teacher Training Programme for 20 trainees. The successful provider will need to demonstrate exceptional, relevant skill to provide teacher training and an understanding of the specific barriers and challenges in the area. The successful provider will design and deliver a high-quality teacher training programme, aimed primarily (not exclusively) at those who are already working as teaching assistants in local schools. The training will be school-based and lead to Qualified Teacher Status. The successful provider will be required to recruit and select the trainees for the programme and the placement schools. The successful provider must be an accredited teacher training provider. Any staff who will be working in schools, must have a valid DBS check. If there are any staff changes, new staff will also require a DBS checks and Cambridgeshire County Council must be notified of these changes.
