Tender description

The Health Service Executive (HSE) is planning the design and construction of a Regional Ambulance Base at the Rosbrien in Limerick. The proposal is to relocate and expand the existing ambulance service currently located opposite Limerick University Hospital, to a greenfield site at the junction of the M7 and M20 motorways in the Rosbrien townland of Limerick City The new ambulance base will be approx. 800 m2 building with garaging for 30 ambulances and provision of a new helipad and access road infrastructure The Health Service Executive now wish to procure and appoint a design team for the project to include Architect (including Employers Representative and Project Supervisor Design Process roles), Fire Engineer, Quantity Surveyor, Mechanical and Electrical Engineer and Civil and Structural Engineer. The ambulance base design will be to a high quality standard. The services will typically include taking the brief and engaging with the client to clarify the requirements, obtaining all required statutory approvals, preparation of sketch schemes followed by detailed design in accordance with the development control plan, preparation of tender documentation, management of the tender process, administration of the works contract, cost control including final account, management of the handover process including the provision of handover documentation to the client and all required interaction and reporting to the client throughout the process etc.
