Tender description
Hampshire County Council (HCC) seeks to understand through this Notice, the market's interest in, and the options available for, the delivery of a “Health and Wellbeing Campus” as detailed above. The site already has detailed planning permission and offers the opportunity to build, own and operate a nursing home of 80 beds, of which Hampshire County Council may look to purchase 30 beds for the provision of nursing care and advanced and complex dementia care for a period of up to 10 years, and to build and be the landlord of an Older Persons Extra Care Housing Scheme of 51 affordable rented apartments plus a further 48 affordable and market supported living apartments (comprising 12 affordable shared ownership units and 36 full market sale units). This current opportunity is to deliver a ‘Health and Wellbeing Campus’ on a c.1.9 hectare site owned by the County Council and known as Oak Park in Havant, situated close to Havant town centre. Led by Hampshire County Council this development is being undertaken on behalf of the County Council following consultation with the Borough Council. The site already has detailed planning permission and offers the opportunity to deliver the following consented services: — to build, own and operate a nursing home of 80 beds of which the County Council may look to purchase 30 beds for the provision of nursing care and advanced and complex dementia care for a period of up to 10 years, — to build and be the landlord of an Older Persons Extra Care Housing Scheme of 51 affordable rented apartments plus a further 48 affordable and market supported living apartments (comprising 12 affordable shared ownership units and 36 full market sale units). In addition, the above developments are designed to be linked together to form an integrated Health and Wellbeing campus which can share certain services whilst respecting that different Registered Providers are required to operate the separate Housing and Nursing Home functions.
