Nottingham University Hospital NHS Trust (“NUH”) Pathology Services is seeking a partner to implement a managed laboratory service contract for clinical pathology that will include the provision of maintenance and replacement of pathology equipment, associated connectivity and the supply of consumables, associated items, chemicals and reagents. NUH Pathology Services are offered from City Hospital and Queen’s Medical Centre (QMC), providing a wide range of analytical and advisory services to inpatients, outpatients and other patients in the community. The managed service contract will aid the consolidation of the Pathology Services between the NUH Trust sites, which will improve efficiencies of the service. NUH Pathology Services are offered from City Hospital and Queen’s Medical Centre (QMC), providing a wide range of analytical and advisory services to inpatients, outpatients and other patients in the community. The managed service contract will aid the consolidation of the Pathology Services between the NUH Trust sites, which will improve efficiencies of the service. Due to the potential establishment of NHSi Pathology networks across England, additional laboratories may be subject to inclusion within the managed service contract throughout the term. The impact of the expansion of the Pathology Services in line with these networks will be discussed with bidders during the procurement. The scope of the MSC includes, but not limited to: — sample receipt, — pre-analytical systems, — routine chemistry (including immunoassay), — routine haematology, — specialist chemistry, — specialist haematology, — coagulation and post analytical systems. The total value of the contract should not exceed 14 999 999 GBP over the 7-year term of the contract (initial 5 year term with an option to extend for up to a further 2 years).
