Tender description

Supply of home oxygen services. This contract will be awarded on behalf of the Health and Social Care Board (HSCB) in Northern Ireland. It will be for the provision of a home oxygen service within the community in Northern Ireland. It is anticipated that this procurement process will lead to the award of a 5 year contract with an option to extend for a further 2 x 1-year periods. The anticipated commencement date of this contract is January 2020. It is envisaged the new contract will incorporate the supply of home oxygen services for the treatment of patients on Long Term Oxygen Therapy (LTOT) and Ambulatory Oxygen Therapy (AOT) within Northern Ireland. The Contractor will be expected to provide a complete managed service on behalf of Health and Social Care (HSC) in Northern Ireland to existing and new patients that require oxygen therapy. This will include, but is not restricted to: 1) Supply all associated equipment, accessories and consumables whilst ensuring strict adherence to clinical/technical standards and guidance; 2) Manage planned installations, required maintenance, deliveries, emergency installations and call outs; 3) Meet all stated response times e.g. urgent supply/next day supply/standard supply; 4) Provide a professional and expert customer care team that can provide training and support to health care professionals and patients. The purpose of this Prior Information Notice is to inform the market of our envisaged procurement plan, outline our tender requirements and invite an open discussion on potential approaches to this service from interested suppliers. To this end, it is the intention of the Procurement and Logistics Service (PaLS), who will be facilitating this procurement process on behalf of HSCB, to host a supplier engagement meeting with interested suppliers. Time slots will be allocated to interested suppliers strictly by appointment. It is likely that the meeting will take place in PaLS, 77 Boucher Crescent, Belfast, Northern Ireland, UK, BT126HU, on Friday 7.12.2018.
