Tender description

Corserv on behalf of Cormac Solutions Ltd is seeking to appoint through an NEC3 Short Term Contract suitable and experienced contractors to carry out highway retexturing works in the form of Hydroblasting, shot blasting or a combination of both. Three contracts are available for tendering. Contract 1 consists of works that require a combination of two methods, Captive Shot and Water retexturing. Due to the nature of the sections, they will require a combination of both treatments. Contract 2 requires shot blast retexturing to obtain increased surface texture and restore skid resistance. Contract 3 works require water based retexturing to increase surface texture and restore skid resistance. All 3 contracts require a suitable method of testing. Pre and post treatment is undertaken to show that the method has been successful and that there is a significant improvement to the surface texture. The intention is to award each lot as a separate contract to the most competitive bidder. Potential bidders may bid for one or more lots. Keywords: resurfacing, shot blast, retexturing, hydroblast
