Short Break (Respite) at home and in the community Services for Adults residing in West Lothian West Lothian Health and Social Care Partnership have a requirement for a short break (Respite) at home and in the community service to support and sustain the caring relationship either on a planned or emergency basis. This being achieved by meeting the needs, expectations and outcomes sought for both the cared for person and their carer. Thereby enabling the carer to have a break from their caring responsibilities whilst enabling the person requiring care to remain at home, avoiding or delaying the need for possible admission to an alternative care environment or increased levels of intervention. The partnership intend establishing a framework with a maximum of 2 providers whereby suitably qualified and experienced providers may be awarded call off contracts from the framework. The framework will commence 1.4.2019 and will be for a period of 3 years with the possibility of extending for a period of up to a further 12 months.
