Tender description

The Tax component of the TEG programme will support the Mozambican Revenue Authority (MRA) implementing its strategic plan aiming at increasing the levels and efficiency of domestic revenue collection and reduce taxpayers’ compliance costs. We will support initiatives to provide: simplified and more robust processes to register and file taxes; improve data collection and transparency through the automation of MRA procedures; strengthen the new Unit for Taxation of Extractive Industries’ capacity to administer and monitor the extractive industries. We will also support the Government of Mozambique strengthen its capabilities to design tax policies. The intended route to market is via the Restricted Procedure but will be discussed further at the Early Market Engagement (EME) event. DFID intend to hold an Early Market Engagement Event (EME) at 2 Locations simantaneously on Friday 9.11.2018 at 11:00 Hours UK time at Abercrombie House, Eaglesham Road, East Kilbride G75 and also at 13:00 hours Mozambique time at DFID Office in Maputo, Jat 1 building, 3rd floor, Av. 25 de Setembro nr. 420. There will also be a dial in facility for this even, details will be provided nearer the time on the DFID Portal. During the EME representatives from DFID will: i) Present further details on the requirements; ii) Provide an update on the procurement process; and iii) Provide an opportunity for attendees to ask questions and contribute to the planned procurement approach. In addition, there will be an opportunity during the event for networking. An attendance list will be circulated after the event. In order to register your attendance you must register your interest on the DFID Supplier Portal (https://supplierportal.dfid.gov.uk/selfservice/) and complete the details requested in the Survey Monkey link that will be available on the DFID Supplier Portal. Due to limited capacity, attendance is restricted to one representative per organisation. You must also advise which location you wish to attend. Places will be reserved on a first come first served basis and when capacity is reached the Survey Monkey will be closed and no further registration will be accepted. You must register by 12:00 (Noon— BST) on Wednesday the 7th November 2018 advising Location. Please note that only Companies that pre-register will have security clearance to attend the event. The ‘Dialogue/ Clarification’ function on the DFID Supplier Portal will be the main communication channel moving forward. We are happy to receive questions, comments and suggestions in advance, which we will respond to at the event, and we will not disclose the source of these when responding.
