Tender description

The authority has a requirement to place a 4 year Framework Agreement for the provision of English language training for special purposes (technical), including general English language, Maths and science training for international students. The authority has a requirement to deliver a 4 year framework contract for “The Provision of English Language Training for Special Purposes (technical), including General English Language, Maths and Science Training for International students" based at RAF Cosford. The potential provider will be expected to ensure all Programmes required to support international defence trainees are specifically designed to support the students trade specialisms, with the overall aim of each course to rectify any language related issues that the trainees may have whilst studying on their specialist trade course. The required training can only be delivered at RAF Cosford. The provision of English Language Training (ELT) provides overall general English to students which support the more enhanced contextualised Programmes prior to assessment and selection. This can be for either pilot training (fast jet and rotary), aircraft Technicians and other specific trade based employment, or the progression onto Phase 2 or 3 type courses and Initial Officer Training (IOT). Any general English Language Training (ELT) provided will be delivered in alignment to the recognised 4 pillars of language skills to include reading, writing, listening and speaking. Any such activities will recognise the criterion of the International English Language Testing System (IELTS). No Business whatsoever is guaranteed under any resulting Framework Agreement or contract indeed there is no guarantee that any Framework Agreement or contract will be put in place in relation to this notice. No compensation etc. will be paid if a tender or resulting Framework is withdrawn for any reason. Bidders should take part in this process only on the basis that they fully understand and accept this position.
