Construction work for water and sewage pipelines

Tender description

— replacement of approx 4 km of water mains (dia. ranging from approx 75 mm-225 mm) to be installed using open cut techniques, — approx 2,2 km of new trunk mains (dia.ranging from approx 100 mm-200 mm) using open cut techniques, — replacement of approx 1 km of backyard distribution water mains, — replacement of approx 110 No. backyard domestic customer service connections with individual front of property service connections (to include house surveys and connection design), — removal of 10 No. Stormwater Overflows — approx 4,8 km of combined sewer (dia. ranging from approx 225 mm-1200 mm) — approx 0,7 km of stormdrains (dia. ranging from approx 300 mm-525 mm) — provision of a 560 mm dia. PE pipe (ID 495 mm) combined sewer underneath the bed of the St. Patrick’s Place Culvert on the Bridewell River for a length of 155 m from New Road along St. Patrick’s Place to Market Quay, — a new screened emergency overflow from the Glasslyn Road Prelim Treatment works to the River Bandon and associated siteworks. Irish Water plans to undertake the construction of: — removal of 10No. Stormwater overflows, — new sections of combined sewer, — new sections of storm drains, — new sections of water mains, — replacement of defective water mains, — replacement of backyard and lead/copper.
