The Council is advertising an opportunity for Vice Chair on the Fostering Panel. The functions of the fostering panel are - - To consider applications for approval and recommend whether or not a person is suitable to act as a foster carer, and if so the terms on which they should be approved – e.g. number and age of children to be placed - To oversee the conduct of assessments carried out by the fostering service. - To give advice and make recommendations on any other matters or cases referred to the panel by the fostering service.
